The largest urban district project in the modern history of the capital is moving forward with full steam, the development is unique in the domestic context, but it also competes with investments of a similar scale at the European level. Hundreds of people live and work on the BudaPart , many shops have already opened, the Beach&Bar will be completed this year with the sandy beach section, and community-building activities are playing an increasingly important role.
There are few investments where the development goes beyond the plot boundaries, forms an integral part of the city fabric, and creates value not only in its immediate surroundings, but also for the city's residents. Where a community is created next to modern buildings and infrastructure. The goal of BudaParton was to create a business and residential district where active life is at the center, which includes a natural environment, walking trails, a wide range of available services, cultural programs and events.
SUP, yoga, cinema
Due to the measures against the coronavirus epidemic, the number of available services is also limited in the new Budapest city district, but even now you can do sports, run, canoe or SUP on BudaPart. As soon as it becomes possible again, family programs, outdoor film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, but you can also count on a farmers' market and other cultural events. Until all of these can be resolved, BudaPart highlights the importance of culture in the online space with the poems of Hungarian poets about the Danube. In one of the videos, Simon Kornél recites Endre Ady's poem The Danube Confession, sometimes rowing in a boat and sometimes walking in the city quarter: https://www.youtube.com/embed/Y7vvzEG08Ps/?wmode=opaque
It's no wonder there are beavers
In Budapest, we often want to break away from everyday life in the city, relax under the willow trees. The Kopaszi dam brings exactly the desired waterfront tranquility, where in addition to ducks, you can meet beavers, terrapins, seagulls and many other species of birds and animals, but the well-kept flora and the beautiful green lawn also speak for themselves. Although many people don't know, the Kopaszi Dam - Budapest's sixth largest public park - is part of BudaPart and is also one of the most popular places for recreation among the capital's residents, which can be reached from the city center in less than ten minutes by car, but can also be quickly reached by public transport or by bicycle. The green environment and the unique atmosphere of the city district appear even more clearly through the performance of Patrícia Kovács: https://www.youtube.com/embed/zxGzuXoeqoc/?wmode=opaque
Modern city, active life
BudaPart competes with Western European developments of a similar scale in several ways: the building concept was developed by the developer together with the renowned Danish architectural firm ADEPT, the buildings are unique, each house is designed by a different domestic architectural firm. In addition, the floor heights are different, thanks to which the sun is ideal and the number of apartments with a panoramic view has been maximized. A unique initiative here is that there is no surface parking, thereby reducing car traffic. By the end of the development, 26 hectares, i.e. almost half of the entire area, will remain green space in the city quarter, and the community-oriented space design and small piazzas will further increase the comfort of the locals.
In the city district, in addition to the Kopaszi-gát gastro promenade, many services are already available at the street level of the buildings. QuickPick will open shortly, where – for the first time in Europe – shopping can be done without queuing at the checkout, using a phone application. In the summer, the city quarter will also be expanded with another gastropub: the SHO Buda restaurant, which will be managed by János Deli (previously the manager of MÁK, Márga Bisztró and Gléda Vendéglők), and the Beach&Bar will be completed in the bay with a sandy beach, but a kindergarten, and later for children and adults a family doctor's office will also open.https://www.youtube.com/embed/y76W7mV9-fY/?wmode=opaque
